Incoming Students

Information on this page is for students willing to study or practice at ESTeSC | Coimbra Health School, through the European exchange Programme ERASMUS+ or other international mobility cooperation programmes.

Following is a FAQ guide meant to provide basic information on elegibility and procedures for application, as well as other relevant information.

1. CAN I APPLY TO BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY STUDENT AT COIMBRA HEALTH SCHOOL?

In order for you to be able to apply, your home institution international office must:

  • Have or establish a valid inter-institutional or cooperation agreement with our institution, in your area of studies

  • Nominate you by sending an e-mail with your basic data (Full name, E-mail, Area of Studies) to grici@estescoimbra.pt

2. DOES MY HOME INSTITUTION HAVE A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH COIMBRA HEALTH SCHOOL?

You will find all information on currently valid cooperation agreements, as well as procedures to establish new ones HERE. Moreover, your International Office should be able to inform you.

3. WHEN SHOULD MY HOME INSTITUTION NOMINATE ME?

Your home institution should nominate you within the following deadlines:

  • 15th July (for the Autumn Semester)

  • 15th November (for the Spring Semester)

Your home institution's international office and yourself will receive an e-mail message, concerning the decision on your acceptance.

4. WHAT SHOULD I DO, IF ACCEPTED?

If your nomination is accepted, you should complete the following procedures:

  1. Fill in the online International Registration Form (password required)

  2. Fill in the appropriate mobility agreement *

⇒ Learning Agreement for Studies (for SMS)

⇒ Learning Agreement for Traineeships (for SMP)

* The mobility agreement must be signed, stamped and sent by post to the following address:

5. CAN I STAY AT STUDENTS' RESIDENCES?

Unfortunately, our institution is unable to provide a place in Students' Residences.

6. WHERE CAN I FIND HELP WITH ACCOMMODATION

The city of Coimbra has an Erasmus Students Network which might help you with logistics and integration issues. You will be able to contact them through the following means:

There are also private websites and/or companies specialized on offering accommodation for International Students, where you can find accomodation on your own*.

* Our institution has no business relationship with these companies/websites and cannot be held responsible for any misinformation/conflict. Also, the international office will not serve as intermediary between the students and these companies/websites.
